Body Love. Soccer Mom.

It has happened, I am a quintessential soccer mom. Lugging children and soccer balls from field to field, weaving together schedules and making sure the right child is at the right game at (approximately) the right time. I cheer like crazy. I learn the names of every child on the team and cheer for them too. I love the excitement. I love the silliness. I love watching the four year olds cheer even when the ball went in the wrong goal. I also happen to love that as a soccer mom I get the chance to kick a ball around again. I grew up playing soccer. I was never the best player on my team, but I loved the game. Now when I play soccer, even if I look ridiculous, I have no idea, it all disappears and I just play. I laugh with my boys, I tap, touch, dribble and kick the ball. I run. I play.

October 13: Today I love that simply kicking a soccer ball can connect me to youthful joy and energy.

Frugal Self-Care Today: Time with friends! I went walking with a friend this morning and then spent a lovely time catching up with a friend on the phone.
