Body Love? Eyes of Love.

Today marked the second day of school cancelations due to flooded roads. While I enjoyed having the extra helpers on my baking day, we have felt a little cooped up! After my two year old woke up from his nap I loaded up the double stroller and went to a local walking trail that happens to meander through a playground. The walk was just what I needed and the playground was just what my children needed. As we were out walking the sun peeked through the clouds! It felt so good. My six year old offered to take my picture today. After every single shot he grinned up at me and said "oh this one is really good Mommy, you look very pretty". Oh how he melts my heart. And each time I would grin back and say thank you. So today’s body love picture was a quick snap shot that my 6 year old took, with the brand new sun streaming in the back ground. My four year old had just stopped his climb to give me a huge smile and a smooch, while my two year old was proudly saying “look Momma” as he followed his big brother up the ladder.  I never care what I look like when these little ones are gazing at me, I play with them and dance and get just as silly as I can be. I want to see me the way my children do.

October 6: Today I look at myself and see the love my children see. I am grateful to have little ones in my life to remind me of how amazing God has created us.

Frugal Self-Care Today: Having a later than normal dinner so we could stay longer in the sunshine.  It really can be just the simple things.
